Lignano Sabbiadoro is a charming seaside resort at the halfway between the sweet Venice and the Habsburg Trieste.

This particular location has favoured the development of different trips to Venice and Trieste, by boat or by bus, making it easy any movement and satisfying even the most demanding tourists. However, even if you do not move too far from the center of Lignano, you can find many attractions, suitable for adults and children.

Let's start from the amusement parks, of which Lignano offers a wide range. Gulliverlandia, the theme park located in an area of 40.000 m2, is divided into several areas and offers a variety of attractions suitable for public of all ages; we start with the area for the lovers of the sea, where a glass tunnel under the water, offers the chance to see a seascape walking among sharks, stingrays, moray eels and tropical fishes. We continue in the area called "Volcano Rapids", where you slip between artificial waterfalls in primitive canoes and where stately reconstructions of dinosaurs, in its original size, create an ancestral and evocative atmosphere. Then there is the medieval area, where you can watch tournaments and then make a journey through the ruins Maja on board of a mining train. The new highlights of this fascinating park is the tower, 60 meters high, from which you can admire the beautiful landscape of the lagoon of Marano and the coast of Lignano .

A short walk from Gulliverlandia, there is the water park Aquasplash, a true island of fun, relaxation, joy, where everyone can find attractions to spend several unforgettable hours: slides of various shapes and sizes, whirlpools, swimming pools of different shapes and depths, picnic areas, playground for children.... all in one park!!

Then, for all those who love animals and nature, there are some inevitable destinations, such as the Parrot Park, located in the nearby Pertegada, the Parco Zoo Punta Verde, a cared zoo and two nature reserves Foci Stella and Valle Canalnovo, which are located in the lagoon of Marano.

Let's start from Punta Verde Zoo: camels, antelopes, cranes, lions, bears, sea lions, hippos are just some of the species that can be found in this oasis. Following the imprint of modern zoos, which are not simple collections of fauna, this zoo has become an important conservation centre. The live animal is not only an attraction, but a strong point of departure to stimulate the interest of the visitor, especially of the next generation. Education thus becomes an essential task that zoos should play in conservation and respect of animals and their environment. The park committes itself to educate the public through its specific programmes, targeted to individual visitors and students. And speaking about research and preservation, the Parrots' Park is a nature reserve, site of the first European monothematic park dedicated to the Psittaciformes, held recently and created with the aim of studying the world of parrots in pathology, ethology and cultural terms. The other two nature reserves listed above, may be the subject of interest and curiosity of the visitors and they are accessible by excursion boat in the lagoon of Marano, which allows you to enjoy a conservation area: here there are many species of birds and plants.

Parallel to the nature excursions, a visit to the town of Marano Lagunare may be interesting from a historical perspective, having been developed under the Serenissima Republic of Venice, of which retains the architectural features and the typical Venetian dialect, and from the gastronomic point of view, being a town whose main activity is fishing.Inevitable among the attractions offered in Lignano is the Luna Park "Strabilia", present in Lignano as far back as 1946. The number of rides and attractions offered by this structure is really impressive: from the classic roller coaster, to the pirate ship and the house of mirrors... a fascinating journey into a world, suspended between reality and fiction. Among the amusement parks suitable for the children, there are the Junior Park, a natural oasis in the heart of Lignano City, ideal for outdoor games and delicious snacks, and the Park Gommosi, located along the coast of Lignano Pineta, a true island of rubber, made ​​up of inflatable games and other entertainment, where the children can give free rein to their vitality at any time.
